Grants Resource Network - Lawrence Events
The Grant Resource Network: Merrimack Valley, a program of Associated Grant Makers (AGM), has received a grant from the United Way of Massachusetts Bay & Merrimack Valley (UWMBMV) to support the 2011-2012 programs. The Grant Resource Network (GRN) brings specialized databases and training to areas outside of Boston to help nonprofit organizations increase their capacity for funding through grants, especially foundation grants. AGM partners with local organizations to site the resources and the training sessions. The GRN that serves the Merrimack Valley is located at Northern Essex Community College (NECC) in Lawrence. This will be the fourth year of operation for this GRN site and we hope that it will prove to be as successful as previous years. Last year over 600 people attended the free workshops and used the specialized grant resources in the NECC library. The GRN drew participants from over 56 cities and towns in the area. One participant wrote “I’ve enjoyed all the workshops I’ve attended, my head is spinning from all the excellent information I’ve been provided with. Please extend my thanks to the whole team who put together such a wonderful program.” AGM & NECC are thrilled that the UWMBMV has decided to continue their support of the program that enables nonprofits to access all these resources at no costs.
The Grant Resource Network of Merrimack Valley is supported by the United Way of Massachusetts Bay & Merrimack Valley.
