What do nonprofit leaders and organizations need to succeed in uncertain times?  With the upcoming Baby boomer transitions and shifting national priorities many funders and grantees are exploring new ways to address organizational obstacles and strengthen mission impact.  Third Sector New England (TSNE) partnered with many funders and supporters to survey executives and board members to discover the challenges and opportunities facing our leaders and organizations.

Through its report, Leadership New England: Essential Shifts for a Thriving Sector, TSNE compiled the finding from more than 1,200 leaders and board members across the region.  In partnership with The Boston Foundation, TSNE also recently released a new report titled Opportunity in Change: Preparing Boston for Leader Transitions and New Models of Nonprofit Leadership.  Join TSNE and AGM for a presentation and discussion on the state of nonprofit leaders in our region, leadership transition and succession trends, and how funders can support their grantees' sustainability.  This session will explore challenges that many of our nonprofits and collaborative efforts will face in the upcoming years.  TSNE will share an organizational sustainability framework and check list to help you shape questions for your grantee visits and participants will leave with learnings about how funders can and are supporting grantees through another era of change and dynamism in their funding streams.
