About HIP

HIP is a Massachusetts initiative partially funded through the United States Department of Agriculture, Food Insecurity Nutrition Incentive (FINI) Grant program. HIP provides a dollar-for-dollar match to Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) clients for each SNAP dollar spent on fruit and vegetable purchases at participating Massachusetts farmers markets, farm stands, mobile markets and Community Supported Agriculture programs. The HIP incentive (matched SNAP benefits) can be redeemed at any SNAP authorized retailer.
