About This Workshop
Creating video can feel like a daunting task for several reasons. From the get-go, it can be challenging to figure out what story or stories you want to tell, and who are the right people for the job. In the middle of the process, it may seem overwhelming if you have a lot of footage but are unsure of the best way to get the most out of it. And on the tail end of things, it can be difficult to figure out how to share it with your desired audiences.
Have no fear! Whether you want to use video to help raise money, recruit staff and volunteers, or educate your audience about key issues you care about, facilitator Rachel Jellinek from Reflection Films will guide you as she shares tips on crafting your message, including some pitfalls to avoid. In addition, she will address how to map out a communications calendar to put your video footage to creative, consistent and effective use. Rachel will share video examples and she encourages participants to come ready to share their experiences as well. This presentation will not include discussion of the technical aspects of video production or video editing.
Ideal for marketing, communications and development staff, as well as board members and volunteers, engaged in developing storytelling content for a range of audiences.
About Rachel Jellinek
Rachel Jellinek co-founded Reflection Films, an award-winning video production company. Reflection Films provides mission-driven organizations with video storytelling and content creation services, including filming and animation, typically for marketing, fundraising and training purposes.
Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan and a Master of Arts from Harvard University. Prior to Reflection Films, she worked on educational campaigns at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, as a health educator for children, as a director for a literacy program, and as a community relations liaison at MIT. Her experience in the nonprofit world lends itself well to understanding how to tell client stories in an emotionally compelling and entertaining way.

Refunds: When an event or program requires payment, payment is required in advance unless alternative arrangements have been made with an AGM staff member.
