Center for Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) analysis of barriers faced by Katrina survivors in obtaining Medicaid coverage.

The Economic Policy Institute has released a briefing paper “Lessons for post-Katrina Reconstruction” which analyzes reconstruction in southern California after the 1994 Northridge earthquake and draws lessons for the Gulf Coast.

The Institute for Women’s Policy Research has released a paper “The Women of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast: Multiple Disadvantages and Key Assets for Recovery.”
