Grant programs:
  • Rappaport Institute for Greater Boston/Rappaport Public Policy Internship Program — Each summer, up to 12 students in graduate-level programs at Boston University, Harvard University, MIT, and Suffolk University, have the opportunity to experience working in the public sector through the Rappaport Public Policy Internship Program. Rappaport Fellows work directly with officials from state and local public agencies in the greater Boston, MA, area, on policy research and management projects. Through weekly seminars with experts in different policy fields, interns form a community of civic-minded peers and place their internship experiences into a broader context. Each intern is matched with a mentor outside of their host agency, providing another source of valuable advice and support during the internship and beyond. A $7,000 stipend from the Rappaport Institute is made available to students.
  • Rappaport Honors Program — In Oct. 2000, the foundation awarded Suffolk University Law School a 5-year grant to develop the Rappaport Honors Program in Law and Public Policy. As a result, each year the Rappaport Honors Program now brings together a cadre of highly qualified law students from Boston-area law schools who demonstrate exceptional commitment toward public service and the betterment of civic life in the greater Boston, MA, region.
