Joint Committee on Taxation report (February
15, 2005)
The Joint Committee on Taxation (5 members of the Senate Finance
Committee and five members of the House Committee on Ways and Means
site on Joint Committee) has released a report with a number of
revenue raisers, include a set of recommendations that could impact
foundations and charities. Proposals in this report include the
institution of a five-year review of 501(c)(3) organizations’
tax exempt status and raising the tax rate on self-dealing infractions.
