With 2008 having been such an historic year for women in politics it is clear women’s involvement in and influence on public policy is stronger than ever, but there is much work yet to be done. W&G will be hosting an interactive event to learn more about women in civic life and talk about what we can do as funders to improve women’s representation.

Research from the Center for Effective Philanthropy, a Boston-based nonprofit focused on the development of comparative data to enable higher-performing funders, reveals that male and female respondents to grantee surveys receive different treatment from foundations during the selection and reporting/evaluation processes.
